Rotating holidays. Weekends are required. The Healthcare Diet Aide is responsible for effectively communicating with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timeliness of patient meal trays and floor stock. Major responsibilities include assembling patient meal trays, delivering meal carts to patient units, aiding in the meal set-up at bedside, discarding of soiled trays, taking inventory and stocking food items as needed, and providing exceptional customer service. The Healthcare Diet Aide responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, taking patient meal orders using the electronic ordering system, dishware sanitation, non-dishware sanitation, maintaining a clean and sanitized work area, participating in training, and any other tasks identified by the supervisor or manager.
