About The Position

Heniff Transportation provides best-in-class supply chain solutions to its customers, focusing on safety, innovation, and service performance. The company operates one of the largest, fully integrated networks of terminals, transload, and tank wash facilities in North America and Canada. The Diesel Truck Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, special inspections, and general repairs on tractor and trailer units. This role ensures compliance with DOT, federal, and state regulations, as well as Company standards. The technician will diagnose and repair tractors and trailers, conduct annual/systematic 90-day inspections to meet federal FHWA standards, and perform HM inspections. Adherence to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous wastes, is required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Experienced in the use of inspection and test equipment used for cargo tank inspections
  • Must have own tools
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
  • Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing preventative maintenance, special inspections and general repairs on tractor and trailer units in accordance with DOT, federal and state regulations and Company standards.
  • Diagnoses and repair tractors and trailers.
  • Perform annual/systematic 90-day inspection in order to ensure equipment meets federal FHWA standards.
  • Performs HM inspections.
  • Adheres to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards to include identification, use, and proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous wastes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
