About The Position

As a Diesel Technician / Mechanic at NFI, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical and mechanical issues related to tractors and trailers. You will utilize standard testing procedures and computer diagnostic equipment such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, and Multimeters. Your role will also include performing DOT inspections in accordance with FMSCA guidelines. The position requires physical capability to lift and/or pull 75 lbs or more, stand or lie for extended periods, and have flexible movement to reach equipment.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Preferred ability to obtain a Class B license.
  • Technical or advanced degree or 1-2+ years of equivalent maintenance experience.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting equipment repairs and maintenance with diagnostic tools and equipment such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, Multimeters, and Windows.
  • Successfully demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Examples of teamwork and customer service skills, including good oral and written communication skills.
