About The Position

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in Ocala, FL. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Complete troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on engine products and other customer equipment in a service shop. Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines, including utilizing computers/software in the process of diagnostic work. Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools. Completing required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Ongoing training and additional certifications on new and existing Cummins products. Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role.
  • Knowledge of engine repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and software for engine assessment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
  • Good communication skills to report issues and document work completed.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in Cummins products or similar engine systems.
  • Experience with complex engine repairs and rebuilds.
  • Familiarity with Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Responsibilities

  • Complete troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on engine products and other customer equipment in a service shop.

  • Ongoing training and additional certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
  • Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues/incidents to their supervisor.
  • Disassemble, inspect, clean and reassemble engines and/or engine components.
  • Assist more experienced technicians with diagnostics and development of repair plans for engines in the workshop.
  • Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
