Hogan Transportation is a 100 year old full service multi faceted transportation company operating throughout North America with a tradition of unparalleled personalized service to clients utilizing first class equipment and advanced technology Job Summary Provides required maintenance including diagnosis and repair for Hogan tractor and truck equipment Includes the removal replacement and repair of any an all components of the tractor or truck Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides preventative maintenance and DOT Inspections using the correct procedures and guidelinesDiagnoses and repairs tractors and trucks using well established policies and procedures as well as hand and power tools; this includes but is not limited to various types of braking systems hydraulic air disc electrical systems clutches air conditioning and heating systems and instruments and gauges steering mechanisms wheels tires batteriesIdentifies parts andor systems for repair; repairs or replaces as appropriateRemoves broken parts and replaces with new or reconditioned partsRoad tests vehicles to diagnosis issues and ensure a safe operating vehicleUses hydraulic jacks to raise equipmentOther duties as required

Requirements

• CDL License Class A or B or obtain within a specified period of time after employment
• State Inspectors License as appropriate
• Refrigeration License
• EPA License as appropriate
• High school education or GED
• In depth knowledge of all hand air and power tools required for this industry
• Basic understanding and knowledge of welding and OxyAcetylene cutting procedures
• Overall complete knowledge with comprehensive trucktrailer repair
• Extensive diagnostic and repair knowledge including all areas of discipline manufactured with various OEs
• Clean MVR
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Provides preventative maintenance and DOT Inspections using the correct procedures and guidelines
• Diagnoses and repairs tractors and trucks using well established policies and procedures as well as hand and power tools; this includes but is not limited to various types of braking systems hydraulic air disc electrical systems clutches air conditioning and heating systems and instruments and gauges steering mechanisms wheels tires batteries
• Identifies parts andor systems for repair; repairs or replaces as appropriate
• Removes broken parts and replaces with new or reconditioned parts
• Road tests vehicles to diagnosis issues and ensure a safe operating vehicle
• Uses hydraulic jacks to raise equipment
• Other duties as required
