About The Position

Hendrickson Fire Rescue , New York's largest Emergency Vehicle dealership is expanding it's Islandia location. We are looking for experienced Heavy Duty Vehicle Technicians who take pride in their work and want to support their community and first responders.

Requirements

• Minimum three years hands-on experience in Emergency Vehicle fleet repair
• Cummins, Ford, or other engine manufacturer Diagnostic Tool proficiency
• Ability to handle physical requirements, including, but not limited to, repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds
• Valid driver’s license
• Must possess personal tools
• Positive team-player attitude
• Possesses exceptional work ethic, energy, and drive

Nice To Haves

• ASE and EVT Certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair fleet vehicles and equipment
• Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Program and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks
• Maintain work area ensuring organization and cleanliness
• Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services
• Works under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Ensure safe work practices
