About The Position

Our client is growing and looking for a Diesel Technician</b> to service and maintain a mixed fleet of heavy construction equipment used across active job sites and yard operations. This role supports uptime for critical machinery such as excavators, dozers, scrapers, cranes, haul trucks, and support vehicles. Equipment You’ll Work On Excavators: Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi </p> Dozers: John Deere, CAT, Case </p> Wheel Loaders & Skid Steers: Bobcat, CAT, Deere </p> Articulated & Off -Road Trucks: Volvo, CAT, Terex </p> Cranes & Boom Trucks: Grove, Manitowoc, Tadano </p> Graders, Rollers & Compactors: Hamm, Sakai, Deere </p> Support Fleet: Service trucks, diesel pickups, trailers, generators, compressors </p>

Requirements

  • 3+ years of diesel technician or heavy equipment mechanic experience </p>
  • Strong hydraulic, electrical, and engine diagnostics knowledge </p>
  • Ability to service multiple brands and machine types </p>
  • Experience in construction, civil, or heavy industrial environments preferred </p>
  • CDL or ability to obtain is a plus </p>
  • Basic welding or fabrication experience is a bonus </p>

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components </p>
  • Perform field service calls and shop -based repairs on heavy machinery </p>
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, fluid checks, and component replacements </p>
  • Use diagnostic tools/software (CAT ET, Cummins Insite, John Deere Service Advisor, etc.) </p>
  • Maintain service logs and communicate equipment status with supervisors </p>
  • Troubleshoot issues involving hydraulics, DEF systems, emissions, and drivetrains </p>
  • Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations on and off the jobsite </p>
