About The Position

Are you ready to turn wrenches on some of the toughest equipment in the construction materials industry? We are hiring an Aggregate Diesel Technician to help maintain and repair the heavy-duty fleet that powers our quarry and aggregate operations. From loaders to haul trucks, you'll keep essential machines running strong in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that values teamwork, precision, and problem-solving. Aggregate Diesel Technician Responsibilities: Fleet Maintenance & Equipment Repair: Maintain and repair diesel-powered quarry and aggregate equipment including haul trucks, loaders, excavators, dozers, water trucks, crushers, and support vehicles. Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and safety checks on all assigned equipment. Perform preventative maintenance tasks (oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacement, etc.) to maximize uptime. Hydraulics, Electrical & Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, cooling systems, fuel systems, and DEF systems. Use diagnostic tools/software to identify and resolve equipment performance issues. Fabrication & Welding (Basic): Perform light fabrication and welding repairs as needed for equipment support. Safety & Documentation: Follow all site and company safety protocols, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures. Document completed work, inspection results, and parts usage accurately. Teamwork & Communication: Work collaboratively with the Aggregate Maintenance Manager and other technicians to prioritize work orders. Communicate issues, delays, and solutions with clarity and urgency.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience in a quarry, aggregate, construction, or similar environment.
  • Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying conditions and be available for multiple shifts, including overtime or weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational training or trade school certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
  • Basic welding and fabrication capabilities are a plus.
