About The Position

Job Responsibilities: Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair Complete MPI Inspection report and send findings to the service advisor Executes the service SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) at all times. Utilizes AutoPoint and keeps all repair orders up to date and strives to maintain at least two recommendations per vehicle. Utilize AutoPoint to communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required. Notify the service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required Notify the service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised Document work performed Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins Ensure that customer vehicles are kept clean Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor Qualifications

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Diesel Engine repair training or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment necessary for the job in a safe manner.
  • Automotive Technician Experience Required
  • Proven Fixed Right Survey Scores

Nice To Haves

  • ASE certification is preferred
