About The Position

Ryder is hiring an Entry Level Diesel Technician in Roseville, MN, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a Technician career. The position offers an hourly pay of $29.50, a certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained up to $700, and a quarterly bonus of up to $500 four times per year. The schedule is Monday–Friday with weekends off, working a second shift from 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm. Ryder provides on-the-job paid training, PPE and uniforms, and a tool and boot allowance. Requirements

• Basic tools
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively
• Ability to work shift work/weekend as required
• Ability to perform all entry level tasks
• Mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of and the ability to apply knowledge of computers
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more experience in transportation maintenance
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A

Responsibilities

• Performs basic vehicle maintenance
• Performs component identification and minor repairs
• Performs preventive maintenance with training and support
• Performs facility maintenance duties
• Perform all entry level tasks
• Diagnoses minor mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
• Performs other related duties as assigned
