Requirements

  • 3+ years experience preferred
  • Graduate of a mechanical trade school or vocational school preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment utilized in diesel repair
  • Skilled in the operation of power tools and machinery
  • Safety certifications preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Basic math and measurement skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance service and repairs on diesel trucks and engines
  • Inspect, operate, or test equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine corrective actions
  • Utilize electronic diagnostic tools and computer software to assist in repairing heavy-duty truck engines, braking, electrical, cooling, and exhaust systems
  • Maintain appropriate records of activities
  • Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency
