Requirements
- 3+ years experience preferred
- Graduate of a mechanical trade school or vocational school preferred
- Advanced knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment utilized in diesel repair
- Skilled in the operation of power tools and machinery
- Safety certifications preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Basic math and measurement skills
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance service and repairs on diesel trucks and engines
- Inspect, operate, or test equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine corrective actions
- Utilize electronic diagnostic tools and computer software to assist in repairing heavy-duty truck engines, braking, electrical, cooling, and exhaust systems
- Maintain appropriate records of activities
- Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency
