About The Position

John R Jurgensen is on the search for Diesel Technicians to join our team at our location in Dayton, Ohio!

Requirements

• Successfully completed course work in automotive, diesel mechanics, or agricultural diesel from an accredited college or recognized trade school is preferred.
• High school graduation or (GED) equivalent, including the ability to read, write, and speak English.
• The ability to obtain and hold a DOT Medical Card.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and fleet vehicles including, pickup trucks, semi-tractors, pavers, mills, rollers, dump trucks, wheel loaders, cranes, excavators, dozers, and other support equipment.
• Ensuring vehicle and equipment productivity remains high.
• Preventative and proactive maintenance including a thorough inspection of vehicles and equipment to keep the machinery working as efficiently as possible, while still adhering to a high level of safety on every task.
