Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is hiring experienced Diesel Mechanics, Trailer Technicians, and Reefer Technicians to support fleet maintenance and refrigerated transport operations in Johnstown, NY. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year diesel, trailer, or refrigeration experience (DOT inspections & air brakes required)
- Valid driver’s license with clean record
- Own toolbox and required tools
- Ability to pass drug screen & background check
- Strong work ethic and team-focused mindset
Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, reefers, and APUs
- Brake, suspension, and DOT/FHWA inspections
- Diagnose electrical systems and ABS brakes
- Tire services (mount, dismount, balance, flat repairs)
- Trailer structural repairs, rear doors, and washouts
- Troubleshoot APUs and assist with road service calls
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop
- Operate forklifts, hoists, and shop equipment
