Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is hiring an experienced Reefer Technician (Transport Refrigeration Technician) to service, diagnose, and repair refrigerated transport equipment and fleet vehicles. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record
  • Must possess a toolbox and required tools
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screen
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant systems

Responsibilities

  • Repair minor and major issues of refrigeration units and the ability to diagnose problems with the units which included but not limited to:
  • Use of OEM software to diagnose issues, read codes, clear codes, download
  • Ability to read refrigerant unit wiring diagrams and wiring schematics
  • Ability to use multi-meter to perform electrical diagnostics
  • Ability to program microprocessor
  • Proper use of reclaiming machine to recover and recycle refrigerant
  • Proficient in soldering all types of joints and tubes
  • Servicing truck systems — cooling, fuel, drive train, brakes, suspension
  • Performing PMs and DOT inspections on trucks and trailers
  • Repairing ABS systems, APU units, and trailer structures
  • Roadside service, tire repairs, and equipment cleaning
  • Operates company and customer vehicles, forklifts, hoists and tools
  • Maintaining accurate repair times and a clean workspace
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
