About The Position

Bobcat of North Texas - Sherman is looking to add a Diesel Mechanic. This role will be responsible for providing quality repair services on Bobcat equipment in order to meet customer needs in a responsive, friendly, educated, and timely manner. This includes performing basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned construction equipment. The technician will also be responsible for identifying problems with mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems and executing effective solutions. Monday - Friday dayshift Starting at $20/hr depending on experience

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous mechanical experience required; fleet or dealership experience preferred.
• Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and service team.
• Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.
• Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl
• Exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.

Nice To Haves

• 2 year technical school graduate preferred.
• Heavy equipment and or agricultural experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality repair services on construction equipment in order to meet customer needs in a responsive, friendly, educated, and timely manner
• Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned construction equipment
• Identifies problems with mechanical, hydraulic, diesel & electrical systems and executes solutions
• Participates in Service Training programs for the development of skills and knowledge
• Document all repairs and testing for customer and warranty repairs
• Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and or management of the company.
