About The Position

Western Branch Diesel, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, is seeking Diesel Truck Mechanics of all experience levels for their Portsmouth, Virginia location. The company offers opportunities for individuals starting their careers or those with previous experience, providing ongoing training, competitive pay, and long-term career growth. Technicians will work on a diverse range of industry-leading brands including mtu, Detroit Diesel, Allison Transmission, Cummins, Caterpillar, Volvo Penta, Freightliner, Western Star, Isuzu, Autocar, and Crane Carrier, gaining hands-on experience with various platforms and advanced diagnostic systems. Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of mechanical experience required
  • Basic understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics
  • Ability to use diagnostic software and service manuals, or willingness to learn
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb, and work in a shop environment

Nice To Haves

  • Diesel mechanical experience preferred
  • CDL preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on diesel trucks and related equipment
  • Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and component replacements
  • Complete engine, transmission, and drivetrain work based on experience level
  • Utilize OEM diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Communicate job status and repair updates with service leadership
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Work collaboratively with parts and service teams to complete repairs efficiently
