Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.
• Must comply with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies.

• Experience with a variety of OEM equipment.
• Familiarity with advanced vehicle maintenance technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.
• Utilize Penske's tools and technologies for logging, researching, and completing repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks such as tire replacement, lubrication, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Collaborate with your manager to learn new skills through Penske's technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
