About The Position

As a Technician at Penske, you will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on the company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained and safe for customers. This role is open to individuals starting their careers directly out of school or those with prior vehicle repair experience. The position offers a dynamic work environment with exposure to various types of equipment and a strong emphasis on safety and reliability. Penske provides comprehensive training, including industry-certified programs, guided by experienced supervisors and master technicians, to help employees develop new skills and advance their careers. The company maintains clean facilities and supplies all necessary major shop tools. Penske is seeking mechanically inclined individuals or those with vehicle repair training who are eager to learn and desire a stable career with significant growth potential.

Requirements

  • Mechanically inclined or have completed any vehicle repair training

Responsibilities

  • Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
  • Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
  • Doing preventative maintenance repairs—like replacing or rotating tires—and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and and diesel engine vehicles
  • Partnering with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching
  • Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
