The Automotive Diesel Technician is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance efficiently and accurately, following dealership and manufacturer standards, while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Prior automotive repair experience preferred (diesel experience strongly preferred)
• ASE and/or manufacturer certifications a plus
• Strong team player with a customer-first mindset
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards
• Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions, with a focus on diesel and engine systems
• Complete all repairs according to applicable safety requirements
• Road-test vehicles to verify quality and completeness of repairs
• Document work performed, test procedures/results, and time according to company clocking procedures
• Maintain an inventory of required hand and power tools
