Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
Must be able to inspect tractor to determine repairs needed
Good vision to inspect repair work
Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
EPA Certification for Federal Clean Air Act 609 within 90 days of hire date
Must have own tools
Safety shoes (steel toe or composite) required
Nice To Haves
Detroit and Cummins Certified preferred
Valid CDL Class A driver's license preferred
Responsibilities
Receives and carries out instructions
Performs routine and preventive maintenance
Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems
Services/inspects tractors and determines defects and potential problems
Knowledge of air, electrical, drive train, steering, suspension, and engine systems
Changes brakes, seals, and bearings and troubleshoots electrical problems
