Diesel Tech-Mechanic

About the position

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our Truck Service team, which consists of nearly 3,000 skilled technicians across over 280 locations nationwide. In this role, you will provide accurate and efficient service to customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Our goal is to ensure that every traveler returns to the road in better condition than they arrived. Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and efficient service to customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on exceeding customer expectations.
• Diagnose wear conditions and make recommendations to customers in collaboration with TSA or Manager.
• Complete repairs within capabilities and as written.
• Understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations.

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in repair or parts shop preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• A valid driver's license.
