Diesel Service Writer

About the position

Styline Diesel Service Center, known for our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, is seeking a dedicated Diesel Service Writer to join our team and ensure the efficient operation of our service department. The Diesel Service Writer acts as a liaison between our customers and service technicians. This role involves understanding customer needs, coordinating service schedules, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with customers, understanding and documenting their service needs for diesel vehicles.
• Schedule appointments and manage repair and maintenance schedules.
• Provide accurate cost estimates and parts quotes to customers.
• Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Maintain detailed and accurate service records and documentation.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
• Promote additional services or maintenance plans when appropriate.

Requirements

• Experience in a service writing role, preferably in the diesel or automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient in using service management software and tools.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or equivalent training.
• Familiarity with invoicing and inventory management.
