About The Position

National Star Services is a 27-year-old facility management company providing different services all nationwide and we are now seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic in Hutchins, TX 75141 to join our team in a Temp-to-Hire role.

Requirements

• Authorized to work lawfully in the U.S.
• Previous diesel repair experience.
• Steel toe boots required for safety.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to start working ASAP.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and required services on fleet tractors and trailers in compliance with DOT 49 CFR 396
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and related systems
• Conduct lot checks to verify equipment condition and identify out-of-service (OOS) items
• Safely operate Class 8 vehicles in yard conditions
• Move fleet equipment in and out of service facilities
• Operate shop tools and equipment including welders, torches, impact wrenches, band saws, scaffolding, ladders, and more
