About The Position

Xylem is looking for a Diesel Service Center Technician to report to our Lakeland, FL location to service and maintain our Commercial/Industrial Pumps. The Diesel Service Center Technician will be responsible for the on-site troubleshooting, repair, and tracking of our commercial/industrial pumps and their corresponding mechanical and electrical components. Equipment specific training will be provided. Willing to train the right person, but previous experience working in a commercial or industrial mechanical environment is especially encouraged. This position operates on a standard day shift Monday-Friday. The Diesel Service Center Technician will be responsible for providing their own tools.

Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years diesel mechanic experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision; self-motivated and self-directed.
• Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug screen.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities
