About The Position

Mustang Cat is actively hiring skilled Industrial Power Technicians for both shop and field service roles. If you’re an experienced Engine Rebuild Mechanic or a motivated Senior Diesel Engine Mechanic, this opportunity puts you at the forefront of servicing diesel and natural gas power systems used across critical infrastructure throughout Texas. As a Diesel & Natural Gas Industrial Engine Technician, you’ll perform comprehensive maintenance and repair on industrial engine systems. From diagnostics to reconditioning and component testing, you’ll be essential to powering our customers’ success.

Requirements

• Must own proper tools to perform necessary repairs
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous mechanic or military experience working on engine systems
• In-depth knowledge of engine, hydraulic, and electronic components
• Strong technical, mechanical, and troubleshooting abilities

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform engine disassembly, reassembly, and precision reconditioning
• Conduct diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and technical analysis
• Remove and install industrial engines and generator sets
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems
• Conduct failure analysis and testing to ensure peak performance
• Work independently or as part of a team in both shop and field environments
