About The Position

Diesel Mechanics (class A or B) maintains off-road Mack trucks and service vehicles around the mill site so our trucks can function safely and operate at top performance. Our Mechanics need to be versatile and have a working knowledge of electronic engines and be willing to lead others.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of vehicle maintenance experience

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of diesel engines
• Experience with Mack, Freightliner, Taylor
• Must have their own tools
• Experience in preventative maintenance
• Diagnostic skills
• Change tires
• Order parts
• Operate the vehicles when needed
• Experience with engine maintenance; lube, oil, and filter
• Experience with electronic engines
• Familiarity with spring and air suspension systems
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems
• Familiarity with air brake systems
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Metal Fabrication
• Maintain a clean truck
• Inspect and report equipment issues to maintenance
• Operate and maintain equipment safely
• Aid mill/customer employees with internal logistics needs
• Report any issues, incidents, or hazards to the supervisor on duty
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
