Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid state driver's license.
  • 4+ years of experience as an Industrial Diesel Mechanic.
  • Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in repairing and maintaining equipment by demonstrating keen problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Welding or pipefitting expertise to ensure precise and durable connections to meet industry standards.
  • Background in rigging equipment, including wire rope, synthetic slings, cable clamps, hooks, shackles, and other rigging apparatus, and ability to follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the availability of the mining fleet in an industrial environment.
  • Diagnosing and repairing various types of industrial mobile equipment.
  • Utilizing power and hand equipment for rigging tasks, including working at heights and following safety protocols.
  • Operating and maintaining specialized rigging equipment such as harnesses, lanyards, and lifts.
  • Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance, documenting activities, and addressing potential equipment failures.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and optimizing equipment reliability.
  • Staying up to date with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in equipment maintenance.
  • Fostering a culture of safety awareness to foster a secure work environment.
