About The Position

We are currently seeking skilled Diesel Mechanics to join our team. This position offers immediate openings with competitive pay and a range of benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to work nights and possess their own tools. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining accurate vehicle records.

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Able to rebuild engines.
• MUST HAVE DIESEL ENGINE CERTIFICATION.
• MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license with approvable driving record.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Speak, write, read, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn and damaged parts.
• Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance, installing component and part upgrades, controlling corrosion, and completing winterization procedures.
• Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
• Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
• Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
• Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
• Contain costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
• Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
• Enhance maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
• Perform annual DOT Inspections.
