The position involves repairing and maintaining product line equipment according to company standards. The role requires performing daily maintenance on all auxiliary items of equipment, conducting preventative maintenance and lubrication on all company equipment, and performing main component changes on engines, pumps, transmissions, etc. The technician will develop skills on basic electrical and hydraulic systems and operation of main and auxiliary equipment for maintenance purposes. Additionally, the technician will complete DOT inspections and auxiliary reports after unit inspections are completed. Candidates must have their own hand tools and power tools, and a minimum of 5 years of experience or be a trade school graduate is required. The role also includes troubleshooting electronic controls for various equipment and rebuilding engines and transmissions.
