The position involves maintaining all company equipment in the field at customer locations or breakdown locations for safe and efficient operation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• 2+ years of experience as a technician/ diesel technician is preferred.
• Knowledge of shop equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• FMCSA 49 CFR 396 Cert.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspection.
• Perform safety inspections in accordance with FMCSA 49 CFR 396.
• Diagnose and repair minor engine issues using specific manufacturer software systems.
• Repair or replace brakes, wheel seals, suspension parts and coupling devices.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and pneumatic issues.
• Repair or replace chassis, suspension and axle components including, but not limited to: air bags, shocks, brakes, ABS modules, air tanks and lines.
• Repair or replace flooring, rub rails, doors, door seals, wall and roof panels.
• Perform general repairs to company equipment.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Partner with drivers, dispatchers, and leadership to perform necessary repairs, maintenance, or inspection or troubleshooting of various service issues.
• Intake of road service calls to help drivers during emergency breakdowns.
• Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Additional duties as assigned by Leadership and Customer.
