About The Position

Vermeer All Roads in Manassas is hiring an Experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a hybrid role, splitting time between our shop and customer sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain Vermeer and related construction equipment. If you want hands-on work with autonomy, variety, and clear growth paths, this is for you.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Hands-on experience with hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, and hydrostatic systems
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to travel locally for field service calls as needed

Nice To Haves

• Welding experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment (shop and field) as directed by the Manager
• Diagnose malfunctions in hydraulic, electrical, and hydrostatic systems
• Perform welding/fabrication as needed
• Recommend/document repairs and prepare accurate cost estimates
• Maintain detailed and accurate service records
• Stay current on industry trends and technical advancements
• Communicate with OEM/factory for technical support
• Perform additional duties as assigned
