Diesel Mechanic
About The Position
White Tank & Truck Repair is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Belleville, IL. We specialize in late-model Freightliner and Kenworth (Paccar) Class 8 trucks and have the capability to perform nearly any repair on semi tractors. This position focuses heavily on advanced diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and major component repair. Full access to industry-leading diagnostic software, including Paccar Davie, Freightliner Diagnostic Link, and JPro, is available to support accurate and efficient troubleshooting. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys solving complex mechanical and electrical issues in a clean, organized, team-focused shop.
Requirements
- Experience working on Freightliner and/or Kenworth trucks preferred
- Strong electrical and diagnostic skills
- Experience using OEM diagnostic software preferred
- Dependable with strong work ethic
- Team-oriented

- CDL helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair late-model Freightliner and Kenworth (Paccar) Class 8 trucks
- Electrical diagnosis of fault codes and check engine issues
- Advanced troubleshooting and repair
- Perform preventative maintenance services
- Brake, suspension, valve, gasket, and hose repairs
- Engine, aftertreatment, and emissions diagnostics
- Oil changes and lubrication services
- Air leak diagnostics
- Tire repair and replacement
