About The Position

Givens, established in 1957, is a company that provides single-source solutions for warehouse, distribution, transportation, packing and crating, and air freight services. The company has experienced significant growth and is currently seeking a Class A Mechanic to join their team. This role involves maintaining their fleet of tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.

Requirements

• Must pass drug screening
• High school diploma is preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be computer literate and have the ability to be trained on software systems
• Ability to use shop tools to include hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools
• Frequently lift and move up to 100lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, and use hands with no physical impairment that might restrict working around on top of or under equipment

Nice To Haves

• Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship in automotive is preferred
• Associates degree is a plus
• State inspectors license a plus
• Experience in software such as Davie 4, Service Ranger, ESA, Diagnostic 8, Cummins a plus

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment to include heavy duty trucks, trailers, electric forklifts, and other equipment
• Conduct routine maintenance work on equipment
• Ability to complete paperwork for routine maintenance and requesting parts
• Diagnose and repair ABS brake systems
• Other duties as assigned
