About The Position

Join Waste Connections as a Diesel Mechanic and keep our fleet running strong! We’re hiring experienced techs to perform maintenance and repairs on garbage trucks—covering everything from hydraulics and electrical to engine systems. This is a hands-on, outdoor role for someone who takes pride in their work and values safety .

Requirements

• 3+ years of diesel or heavy truck experience
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Reliable, hard-working, and safety -minded
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

Nice To Haves

• ASE cert
• CDL (A or B)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance & inspections
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues
• Handle on-road breakdowns and emergency calls
• Keep shop clean, organized, and safe
• Accurately document all work performed

Benefits

• $22.00–$30.00/hour based on experience
• Plus $2,500.00 Stay on Bonus
• $150/month tool allowance + annual boot stipend
