About The Position

Florida Express Waste & Recycling is looking for a safety-conscious Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Ocala, FL . This position is responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance on our fleet of trucks and equipment, including electrical and hydraulic systems .

Requirements

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems .
• Familiarity with fleet maintenance software and vehicle inspection protocols.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and outdoors year-round.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance services on diesel trucks and equipment.
• Diagnose issues using vehicle computer electronics systems and initiate or assign repairs.
• Conduct safety checks and inspections on vehicles and equipment.
• Complete required documentation using fleet maintenance software , including parts usage and repair time tracking.
• Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
