Requirements

Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy duty tractor/ trailer repair.
Valid driver’s license - CDL Preferred.
Some mechanics must have the ability to drive a repair vehicle off the premises to perform emergency repairs on the road.
Ability to work multiple shifts and on call as needed.

Nice To Haves

State inspection certification a plus.
Certification in the use of refrigerants and recycling equipment a big plus

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on diesel tractors.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems.
Repair any equipment problems and answer drivers’ telephone request for assistance with equipment failure while out on the road.
Maintain and repair all equipment to include engine, starting and charging, electrical, body, wheels, brakes, suspension and interior.
Have own tools
Follow company procedures and ensure a safe work environment.
Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity.
