About The Position

Egan Company is seeking candidates for a Diesel Mechanic to perform vehicle and equipment repairs specifically focusing on heavy diesel and large truck repairs as directed by the Garage Manager. The Diesel Mechanic must provide typical mechanic hand tools with toolbox. Performance of duties will be in our repair garage, visits to job sites, mobile truck service along with roadside work. Hours of operation for this role are Monday - Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. This is full-time, hourly role

Requirements

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required: Two-year degree or certificate for truck repair from an accredited technical school program. Work experience may qualify for this educational requirement.
At least three years of experience performing maintenance and repairs on diesel/medium-heavy trucks and equipment is highly preferred.
Must provide typical mechanic hand tools with toolbox.
Must be eligible to obtain a CDL (commercial drivers license)
This position requires passing a DOT (Department of Transportation) physical, drug screening, MVR and background check as a condition of employment.

Perform medium/heavy truck driving and rigging on all vehicles and equipment, including those over 26,000 GVW
Test-operate line tricks, auger trucks, and trenchers

Hourly Rate: $32.00 - $41.00 (subject to such factors as experience, education, and/or skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus.
