About The Position

GATR Truck Center is seeking a hands-on Diesel Mechanic who thrives on fast-paced challenges and can keep big rigs rolling. The role involves being the front line of defense, diagnosing and fixing trucks whenever they break down, and handling a variety of tasks from maintenance and diagnostics to heavy repair. The mechanic will work with cutting-edge tools and technology to keep fleets moving and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures. Effective communication with Advisors to explain repair and maintenance needs is also a key aspect of the role. This position offers a flexible schedule, competitive pay, and opportunities for training and career growth within a gritty team environment. GATR Truck Center is an authorized Volvo, Hino, Mack, and Kalmar Ottawa dealership, also serving as an authorized Hyundai Translead Dry Van Trailer dealer across 5 locations in Minnesota and Iowa.

Requirements

• A mechanic with serious grit
• Experience with diesel engines
• A knack for problem-solving under pressure
• Ability to handle diving into any project
• Ready to be the hero when the wheels stop turning
• Knows your way around a semi

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and fixing trucks whenever they break down
• Performing maintenance, diagnostics, and heavy repair
• Effectively working with Advisors to explain the repairs and maintenance needs
• Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
