About The Position

Ring's End, Inc. is hiring a full-time Diesel Mechanic in Darien, CT. This position is responsible for maintaining various types of equipment, including diesel trucks, forklifts, vans, and passenger vehicles/pick-up trucks. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter capable of diagnosing mechanical problems and performing necessary repairs. Key aspects of the role include maintaining an organized work environment, managing an ample inventory of preventative parts, and meticulously documenting notes and maintenance records both digitally and in paper files. The role may also require travel to different locations within Connecticut, Eastern New York, or Rhode Island.

Requirements

CDL Class B license
Minimum 5 years' experience with diesel & gas engines, hydraulics and computer systems including International & Cummings
Clean Driving Record

Responsibilities

Maintaining equipment including, but not limited to: diesel trucks, forklifts, vans, and passenger vehicles / pick-up trucks
Diagnosing mechanical problems
Performing necessary repairs
Maintaining ample inventory of necessary preventative parts
Maintaining a clean and neat shop
Keeping meticulous notes and maintenance records on the computer as well as paper files
Travelling to parts of Connecticut, Eastern New York, or Rhode Island (as required)
