About The Position

Diesel Mechanic, Earn up to $33.19 hr. Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Various Shifts. Earn 1 week of vacation after 90 days of employment. Come and experience the difference with R L Carriers. R L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Tractor Mechanics at our Wilson, NC Service Center. Responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on the fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class A Trucks, trailers, and forklifts.

Requirements

• 2 Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines.
• Experience with AC and Electrical systems.
• Ability to handle major repairs.
• Experience in both Tractor and Trailer PMs and repairs.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must have own tools.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, and dollies.
• Welding experience.
• Experience working on forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on fleet equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on Class A Trucks, trailers, and forklifts.
• Handle major repairs as needed.
