About The Position

This position is responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

• You must have a minimum of 6-months to 1 year of previous experience in entry level Mechanical Maintenance.
• You MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN TOOLS.
• You also need to have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
• This position requires a current valid State driver’s license.
• Must supply own tools for minimum maintenance.
• Must be able to use basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tools.
• Requires minimum 1 year basic mechanical or maintenance work experience and 6months work history with 1 employer within the last 2 years, listed on application.
• Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 20 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors.

Responsibilities

• To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
• Receive training as required
• Perform various positions as required/assigned
• PM on equipment, oil changes, greasing, repairing or replacing semi tires, brake repair or replacement on semi - trucks and trailers, and minimum 1 year experience operating cutting torch and electric welder.
• May perform air brake, electrical and air conditioning work.
• Must be able to read and understand assignments.
• Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
