About The Position

We are currently seeking Diesel Mechanics/Technicians to join our team. The position offers two shifts: Wednesday to Saturday from 6am to 2:30pm or Sunday to Wednesday from 8am to 6:30pm. The pay range for this role is between $22.00 and $33.00 per hour. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be part of a dedicated team that supports one of the largest fleets on the road, with over 13,000 trucks and 60,000 trailers. We provide hands-on OEM training with manufacturers such as Freightliner, International, Volvo, Cummins, and Detroit, ensuring continual opportunities for growth and career advancement.

Requirements

• Knowledge of vehicle systems and basic vehicle maintenance preferred.
• High School diploma or a combination of training and/or experience required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills.
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals and complete/fill tags and repair orders.
• Ability to use and learn various diagnostic software used on tractor/trailers.
• Must possess computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, including tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, Swift, etc.).
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble Heavy Truck & Trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance to include repairs, failure analysis, coding, and identification.
