About The Position

As a Technician I at Penske, you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe and reliable for customers. Requirements

  • 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
  • Specialized training and experience in diagnosing major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
  • Experience using all tools of the trade, including welding and diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Repair and troubleshoot major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Utilize Penske's tools and technologies for logging and completing repairs.
  • Participate in Penske's technician training programs.
  • Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
