Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with heavy-duty (Class 8) trucks and equipment
  • Strong diagnostic skills across drivetrain, engines, and transmissions
  • Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Ability to perform structural assessments and oversee repair decisions
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards for fleet maintenance
  • Basic computer skills (maintenance software, Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • CDL Class B preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to earn 7 ASE Certifications (or equivalent) within 36 months
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel, gasoline, and alternative fuel systems (CNG, LPG, Hybrid)
  • Perform advanced work on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Service and maintain fleet vehicles including Mack, Peterbilt, Freightliner, Autocar, and equipment from Heil and McNeilus
  • Use onboard computer systems to troubleshoot and identify repair needs
  • Perform safety inspections and ensure DOT/OSHA compliance
  • Complete work orders and documentation accurately and on time
  • Support and mentor other technicians to ensure safe, efficient operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Participate in company-sponsored training programs as assigned
  • Stay current on evolving tools, equipment, and technology relevant to the role
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
