Requirements

• Previous experience in the mechanical field is required.
• MED HVY Truck ASE Certification is preferred.
• Must be able to read memos, instructions, and communicate verbally with fellow employees.
• Must be able to add, subtract, and know basic units of measurement.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.

Responsibilities

• Promote Safety by prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Repair and Maintain Mobile Equipment including servicing, repairing, adjusting, maintaining, and testing Concrete Ready Mix Trucks and support equipment.
• Inspect Equipment and Material to identify and troubleshoot the cause of errors.
• Create Work Orders on all repairs and services, providing legible and accurate information for all work performed.
• Communicate with personnel to ensure proper, safe, and preventative vehicle maintenance.
• Use various equipment such as cutting torch, air and hand tools, jacks, grinders, and drill press.
• Perform General Physical Activities that require moving your whole body and considerable use of your arms and legs.
• Other duties as assigned.
