About The Position

Costy’s Energy Services is hiring a hands-on Diesel Mechanic to maintain and support our fleet. This role is for someone who prefers turning wrenches first, not sitting behind a desk, and who takes pride in keeping equipment running safely and reliably. Fleet oversight is part of the job, but this position is mechanic-driven and field-focused.

This position reports directly to the Business Unit Manager.

Requirements

• Valid CDL required
• Proven diesel mechanic experience with heavy trucks and equipment
• Comfortable working long hours when the job demands it
• Willing to perform road calls and field repairs
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical common sense
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of equipment condition
• Safety-focused and detail-oriented

Responsibilities

• Perform diesel and heavy equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Complete preventative maintenance and inspections
• Maintain and service water trucks, vacuum trucks and bottles, tractors, and transport trailers
• Respond to road calls and field repairs as needed
• Track maintenance schedules and service history for fleet equipment
• Order parts and coordinate outside repairs when required
• Ensure all equipment meets DOT, safety, and company standards
• Work closely with operations to keep trucks job-ready and minimize downtime
