About The Position

Weinberger Waste Disposal, a Waste Connections Company is looking for a safety conscience 2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. Now offering a $10,000 stay on bonus and annual safety bonuses! Wages depend on experience. Pay: $30.00 to $45.00 per hour. M-F 2:30PM -11:00PM. Requirements

• Valid drivers license (CDL preferred, but not required).
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English and Spanish.
• 3-5 years of experience preferred.
• Must own personal tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services.
• Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Utilize vehicle computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
