About The Position
As a Diesel Mechanic at XPO, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance functions and adjustments on all types of class 6 through 8 diesel equipment, forklifts, and trailing equipment. You will access any of the equipment to perform necessary maintenance, including inspecting and performing work in, on or under part of the equipment. Your role will involve troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment and component issues, performing repairs accordingly, and conducting HVAC system repairs. You will also be required to abide by DOT, EPA, Interstate Authority, OSHA and other rules and regulations, conduct safety inspections on equipment, and maintain proficiency with equipment and technologies that enhance productivity. Additionally, you will interact with operations and shop management to ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area.
