Our fleet of trucks and heavy equipment is essential to our operations, and we’re looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team and keep our equipment running smoothly. Overview: We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of ready-mix trucks and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engines and hydraulics, along with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a state inspection license . This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) – Strongly Preferred
  • State Inspection License – Preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in a construction or concrete industry setting
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check

Nice To Haves

  • State Inspection License – Preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) – Strongly Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel trucks and heavy equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tire replacements
  • Conduct state inspections and ensure all vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
  • Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance
  • Assist with road calls and breakdowns as needed
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and in good working order
  • Follow company safety protocols and procedures
