The company is seeking a Diesel Field Service Technician to be based out of their Pompano Beach, FL location. This role involves the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel pumps and their electrical and mechanical components at various customer sites and Xylem Service Centers in the surrounding Pompano Beach area. The technician will also provide phone support when necessary. While equipment-specific training will be provided, applicants with prior experience in diesel, mechanical, and electrical equipment are encouraged to apply. The position typically involves general day shift hours with opportunities for overtime and a compensated on-call rotation that may include occasional afternoons and weekends. Requirements

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, MVR check, and DOT physical
  • Experience working with diesel systems, or a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
  • General diesel engine component location and identification
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to diagnose basic mechanical problems
  • General DC electric and circuit testing skills
  • Knowledge of and adherence to safety practices and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Class B CDL preferred
  • Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues--preferred
